What An Anniversary Party!
We couldn't begin to estimate how many of you stopped in during our 25th Anniversary Party! The day was packed with events - here are a few to help remember this special day. Photos courtesy of staff members Warren and Rosemary.
The cakes were a huge hit - barely had time to get a picture. For those who asked, cakes were baked by Jackie McLaurin. Did you notice the gorgeous flowers throughout the store (and on the table) that day? Staff member Julia donated them from her wedding the day before.
Harpist Anita Burroughs-Price started us off with a fabulous in-store concert. Nancy (left) got a chance to take a break and enjoy her anniversary!
You'd be surprised at what it takes to move a harp!
Bluegrass trio Nixon, Blevins, & Gage have appeared at Quail Ridge several times. Nancy introduced these great local musicians before their concert.
Storyteller Louise Kessel was a one-woman show of sound and story, entertaining families.
Mike Farrell (aka BJ from M.A.S.H.) closed out our festivities, speaking to a full house on touring, television, political activism, and Priuses. Read OF MULE AND MAN and you'll understand.
Mike delighted everyone with his good humor and intelligent political commentary.
Don't be jealous, Jim. Who could pass up a hug from the wonderful and gracious Mike Farrell?
